The agreement between you and Dad Lyfe. It is short on purpose, and written to be read rather than skimmed past.
Dad Lyfe is operated by an independent developer based in Maryland, United States. "We", "us" and "our" mean that operator. "You" means the person using the app. You can reach us at hello@dadlyfeapp.com, and we'll give you the operator's full legal details on request.
By creating an account or using Dad Lyfe, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, don't use the app.
You must be at least 18 years old. Dad Lyfe is not intended for children and must not be used by anyone under 18. You are responsible for anything done through your account.
Dad Lyfe lets you post where you are and for how long, visible only to people you have both agreed to connect with. It is a notice board, not an introduction service. We do not match people, recommend people, or put strangers in touch.
The app is free and currently in testing. Features may change or disappear, and we may suspend or stop the service at any time.
We do not verify, vet, screen, or run background checks on anyone. Anyone can create an account. A connection in the app means two people exchanged a code — nothing more. It is not a recommendation, an endorsement, or any indication that a person is safe, honest, or who they claim to be.
Any decision to meet someone, go somewhere, or bring your children along is yours alone, and you make it at your own risk. Use the same judgement you would use meeting anyone you do not know well. Meet in public places. Trust your instincts.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the conduct of anyone you meet through Dad Lyfe, whether online or in person, and not for any injury, loss, or damage arising from it.
Keep access to your email secure, since that is how you sign in. Tell us promptly at hello@dadlyfeapp.com if you believe someone else has used your account.
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, or where we reasonably believe someone is at risk. We are not obliged to monitor what is posted, and we do not.
What you write stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you chose to show it to — that is all, and only for as long as running the app requires. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not sell it.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. That permanently removes your profile, check-ins, connections, polls and saved spots. If you cannot reach the app, email privacy@dadlyfeapp.com and we will do it for you.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
Dad Lyfe is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise the app will be available, accurate, or free of faults. Location, drive times, and weather come from outside services and may be wrong or out of date.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of Dad Lyfe — including anything arising from meeting another user.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months (which, as the app is free, is zero) or US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and costs arising out of your use of the app, anything you post, or your breach of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you and we both agree to that jurisdiction.
If these terms change we will update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Dad Lyfe after a change means you accept the updated terms.
